What are The Boat Shed Cafe's opening hours?
We're open daily from 8am to 3pm. Hours may vary on public holidays, check our socials or Google for updates.

Where is The Boat Shed Cafe located?
We're at 847 Frankton Road, Frankton Marina, Queenstown, a few minutes from town centre. Getting here.

Is there parking at The Boat Shed Cafe?
FREE: We have 8 free parking spaces out the front of the cafe marked cafe parking. These tend to fill up quick, so we recommend coming earlier than your booking.

PAID: The Queenstown Marina has paid parking for $4 an hour. It is located at the start of Sugar Lane and is a 1 minute walk from the cafe.
DO NOT PARK:  There is a large parking lot next to the cafe marked boat trailer parking. This is CCTV monitored and you will be instantly fined if you stop or park here. This is not owned or run by The Boat Shed Cafe, so please contact Queenstown District Council for any fine related issues. 

 

Do you take bookings?
Yes, we'd recommend booking ahead, especially on weekend breakfast, brunch and lunch and holiday periods. Book a table.

 

Do you cater for large groups or events?
Yes, we can accommodate larger groups and private functions. Get in touch to talk through your numbers and date. Events.

 

Do you have gluten free or vegan options?
Yes, gluten free and vegan options are available across the menu. Just let your server know when you order. View menu.

 

Is The Boat Shed Cafe dog friendly?
Yes, dogs are welcome on the deck and must be on a leash at all times

Is The Boat Shed Cafe family friendly?
Yes, families are welcome, with high chairs and kids menu available.

Do you take EFTPOS and card payments?
Yes, we accept all cards.

Yes, please be mindful our front entrance is covered in small pebbles.

 

What's the history behind The Boat Shed Cafe?
Our building started life in 1869 as the NZ Railways Shipping Office, before making the journey to the Frankton waterfront in 1936. The Boat Shed Cafe opened here in 2013. Read more about our history here.
