Terms and Conditions
 

1. Promoter.
   This promotion is conducted by The Boat Shed Cafe, of 847 Frankton Road, Queenstown ("the Promoter").
    

2. Promotional period.
   The competition runs from 12:00am on Monday 21 September 2026 to 11:59pm on Saturday 31 October 2026 ("the Promotional Period"). Bookings made outside this period are not eligible.
    

3. Eligibility.
   Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over, excluding employees (and their immediate families) of The Boat Shed Cafe and its associated venues (Canyon Brewing, Dishery, The Boat Shed Bakery, and the Canyon Taproom).
    

4. How to enter.
   To enter, guests must make a booking via The Boat Shed Cafe's website during the Promotional Period and write the code FREECOFFEECOMP in the comments at the time of booking. No purchase is necessary beyond the booking itself, and no separate entry form is required — valid bookings quoting the code are automatically entered into the draw. The booking must be fulfilled for the entry to count, cancellations do not count as valid entries.
    

5. Multiple entries.
   Guests may receive one entry per completed booking made with the code during the Promotional Period. Multiple bookings will each receive a separate entry, provided each is a genuine, honoured booking.
    

6. The prize.
   One winner will receive a year's worth of free coffee at The Boat Shed Cafe, valued at up to $2,300NZD, based on one regular coffee per day. The prize will be issued as a loyalty account credit, redeemable at The Boat Shed Cafe only, for takeaway or dine-in coffee, over a period of 12 months from the date of notification. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Alternative milks, specialitity coffees and large coffees may incur an additional charge and is up to the servers discretion. 
    

7. Winner selection.
   The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries on 1 November 2026. The draw will be conducted by the Promoter or its representative. 
    

8. Notification.
   The winner will be notified directly using the contact details provided at the time of booking, within 5 business days of the draw. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 7 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to draw another winner.
    

9. Publicity.
   The winner may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the promotion, including on The Boat Shed Cafe's social media channels. Participation in publicity is optional and will only occur with the winner's consent.
    

10. Promoter's rights.
    The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reject any entry it reasonably believes to be fraudulent, incomplete, or made in breach of these terms. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the promotion at any time, subject to any applicable laws.
     

11. Liability.
    To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in this promotion or acceptance of the prize.
     

12. Privacy.
    Personal information collected for the purposes of this promotion will be used only to administer the competition and notify the winner, in accordance with the Promoter's privacy practices, and will not be used for other marketing purposes without separate consent.
     

13. Governing law.
    This promotion is governed by the laws of New Zealand.
